IT'S A TRAP! Yes, the end of the work week is fast approaching and it is time to blast that bass music. I hope you are ready for some amazing songs to blow those speakers up!

{Dubby} Kyro & Bomber "BEACON"

I love Kyro & Bomber. The Australian duo have been coming out with banger after banger and are one of my favorite artists in the EDM scene. Part of the reason why I like them so much is their versatility because they have tried their hands in many different electronic genres. I also feel like I was one of their first fans because still to this day they are not that well known!

Beacon was released on Big Fish Records on Monday.

You should also check out their song "Nibiru" as that is one of my all time favorite songs.

{Electro} James Egbert & Ecotek "ALEX & VICKI'S JOURNEY"

I'm about to take you on a journey. My very good friend James has come up with a great tune here that makes you think you are traveling in a space ship at warp speed. Even with all the fuzziness that comes with traveling that fast this song is very upbeat and bouncy. Mission Control comes over the loud speaker to give you special instructions before you are zapped in to hyperdrive.

The Journey began yesterday on Fuzion Musik.

Another close to perfect progressive house tune here. A very upbeat serene tempo to the melody which actually makes you think of the ocean. The build up is powerful and leads up to two different kinds of drops - one bass drop which builds in to a separate electro style drop. A club banger that should be played and heard from Ibiza to LA.

This song was released on Graygoo Platinum on the 9th of April. Buy this song on most online music outlets.

{Uplifting} Hellberg "GUIDE ME HOME" Teqq Remix

Stunning uplifting progressive house song here - one that tugs on the emotional chords. This tune is close to what I envision a perfect progressive song to be. Charlotte Haining has a beautiful voice as she lends her calm, serene vocals to the already beautiful beat. The drop adds a bit of bass that transports you to moments of euphoria within your own mind.

Tuesday has already arrived and it does not seem very long ago when I posted my last Trance selections. I hope that everyone's work week is going well and that you have taken precious time out of the day to get lost in some music, more importantly, lost in a trance.

{Moomba} Wiley Webb "HUMOUR"

The Los Angeles based producer has made a wonderful Moombahton track that will be sure to turn heads. Currently 19 years old and a student in San Fran with only a small following... for now.

The song Humour is released in his two track EP named "Lavish Vitality" which became available today on Beatport. You can also download the song for free on his website or donate some money for his music making career.

I love that he spelt humour the correct, British way.

{Mashup Monday} Callum's Top 5 Selections

Its is that time again when mashups reign supreme and you think; that melody doesn't go with that drop. To combat those monday blues I have a very upbeat momentum building selection to keep you motivated all throughout the work week.

As usual I have some artist that you know including Harwell, Dash Berlin, Avicii and Nicky Romero as well as some artists you may not know like Estiva, Carlos Serrano and Virtual Riot.

{Wow} Gregori Klosman & Tony Romera "BAD GUY"

Two bad guys team up here to create an absolute stormer of a song! Unfortunately we will have to wait until May 13th until this future #1 song will be released. Of course Tony Romera stormed on to the scene with his hugely popular club banger "Pandor". I first heard Gregori with his banger "Minibar".

This is just a preview of the song which will be released on Guru Records in the middle of May.

Urgg... I really hate waiting. Yes I am impatient so sue me.

{Boom} DJ Bam Bam "BARBARIC"

DJ Bam Bam from Chicago has created a really nice progressive tunes here that is upbeat and melodic. The drop however is not progressive at all - its all electro and all bass. Bam Bam is the owner of Fly House Records which is the label this tune has been released on.

{Banger} Daddy's Groove, Cryogenix "TILT"

Very exciting electro house banger here by Daddy's Groove who are well known in producing nothing but club rockers. This song is full of bass and electricity. While the song progresses there are a few cool hip-hop type lyrics that lead up to a bass only drop with what sounds like someone banging a metal can.

Oh My Goodness! I was going to wait until Trap Thursday to post this song but I just cant wait any longer to share this will all of you. Butch Clancy, one of my favorite EDM artists, who normally produces dubstep music has created a trap banger of all bangers!

{Electro} Manufactured Superstars "ZOMBIES IN LOVE" K Theory Remix

K Theory have become the go to producers when artists want to add bass filled bangers to their remix EP's. This song definitely fills the quota of a banger with a very hard electro drop. The middle of the song features snippets of zombie noises which any Walking Dead fan would easily understand.

This remix was released today on Big Beat Records.

I wonder if zombies could actually fall in love? I thought they couldn't feel, right? Maybe I'm thinking too much in to it.

{New} Designer Drugs & Alvin Risk "EMPTY HEARTED"

When I saw Alvin Risk live I lost my mind and fell in love with his music. He teams up with Designer Drugs for a really wonderful song here and I cannot wait for its release. This is just a preview of the song however you are able to hear the masterpiece drop from the dubstep master.

Im bringing you a real underground artist here today in the New York producer Jon van Dee. This has been one of my go to songs the last few months while playing live in the club. It has a great upbeat melody and a truly bass filled drop.

James Vadner and Ashley Bergquist are from Minneapolis and they like to make great music under the alias Cloud. The mainly drum and bass, dubstep duo try their hands in some Electro House, Trance music with this wonderful song entitled "World At War".

No word as to if this will be released as a single or as a free download.

Just listen to it over and over again so that way you won't need to buy it.

{Boom} JELO and Frederik Mooij "IGNITE THE FIGHT"

Ignite the fight might not make you want to actually go and fight someone but it will get you up and moving that is for sure. JELO and Frederik Mooij have created a nice song here that incorporates many synths in the melody that works up to a hammering bass drop.

This song was released on Hotbox Digital Recordings on Tuesday and is still a Beatport.com exclusive.

I just hope those wolves in the background don't find their way to my house any time soon. Vicious.

{Beautiful} DVBBS and Simon Wilcox "WE ARE ELECTRIC" HLM Remix

HLM a.k.a Roberto Ross from Orange County, California has remixed an absolute stormer here. The lyrics are very soothing, calm and beautiful but the electro drop is powerful and full of bass. This lethal combination makes for a legendary song which Roberto says to just "listen and feel".

{Progressive} Savant "BLACK SWAN 2013"

I loved this movie; which Natalie Portman did win an Oscar for Best Actress. I also loved the original song because of its powerful lyrics. Savant a.k.a Aleksander Vinter has remixed it in to a progressive house anthem that is very bouncy and uplifting.

{Fresh} Alex Metric "ILIUM"

I have been a fan of Alex Metric for a long time now and it is great to see his progression from his early tracks to where he is now. He has just released a new EP on OWSLA called "Ammunition Pt. 3" which is available on Beatport.

This song Ilium is a nice progressive song that rapidly becomes an all out war with bullets flying everywhere.

I strongly suggest to check out the entire EP though. Every song is good and features very unique sounds.

I'm pretty sure you have not heard of this band before. The guys from Philadelphia only have 3,000 followers on Soundcloud but they sure know how to produce good Dubstep. This song has very catch electro chords which lends to the song being a good mix of colplextro with your typical dubstep wobbles.

{Anthem} Sultan & Ned Shepard, Nervo, Omarion "ARMY" Tom Swoon Remix

What a great progressive house anthem we have here! You remember Omarion? Yes, thats right, the R&B singer who was part of the band B2K - well he lays down some sweet vocals in this tune. Nervo and Sultan + Ned Shepard team up to create an enchantingly uplifting track which Tom Swoon remixes with a slightly heavier drop.

This track came out TODAY on Strictly Rhythm.

Buy it, put it on repeat, then you will get sick of it, then you will blame me for singing the song randomly in a gas station.

{Moombah} Bro Safari and Sazon Booya "DANGER"

The intro of this song from Bro Safari does sound a little bit like "Bootleg Fireworks" by Dillon Francis. But then Sazon Booya lays down some smooth reggae beats in this wonderful moombahton track. The drop has a lot of bass to it with snippets of the lyrics worked in.

The best thing about this song though is its a free download. Free reggae moombahton, is this real life?

{Trance Tuesday} Callum's Top 5 Selections

Its Tuesday which means it is time for you to get your weekly fix of Trance music! When I first started listening to electronic music at the ripe age of 12 it was Trance music that really got me hooked. Trance has the incredible power to connect us to the music we are listening to; it enables us to feel.

This week features some of my favorite artists including Norin & Rad as well as Tangle & Mateusz. There are some artists you may not know including Omnia and Jordan Suckley.

Make sure to listen to them all; the last one is an absolute screamer.

{Moomba Remix} Passion Pit "CARRIED AWAY" Dillon Francis Remix

Dillon Francis, the king of Moombahton, returns to bring us a happy bass filled remix of Passion Pit's song Carried Away. Featured lyrical clippings that sound like your CD is skipping which then leads up to a huge bass drop that is typical of Dillon's productions.

There is no release date for this remix yet; but I am sure it will not take long to hit the shelves.

Please do not get "carried away" while listening to this song. If you do get carried away and need to dial 911 you hit 9-1-1 on your phone.

{Electricity} Nom De Strip "TECHNO SATURDAY"

Nom de Strip is a rising star with Deadmau5's label mau5trap. Based out of Scotland the talented producer has mastered many different genres of EDM music. His second Clouds EP to come out in as many weeks features heavy Electro House songs that are sure to rock your speakers.

Clouds EP vol. 2 just came out today on Beatport through Mau5trap Records.

If you have time check out "SEESAW" on this album too. It's worth it, seriously, no April Fools joke involved, trust me.

{Dubstep} Lazerbeam "SHOCK ONE" Skism Remix

Well, Skism has done it again, what a wonderful remix. This song includes the ever growing mixture of reggae lyrics with dubstep wobbles. This recipe has become very mainstream and intensely popular. The drop is nothing short of huge bass mixed with lasers and sampled lyrics.

This week I have mashups by some big hitters including 3LAU and 5 A Dime but also some artists you may not know like Broz and Mashup-Germany. All this talk about mashups is making me hungry #bangersandmash

{Banger} JoeySuki "AIR DJ"

Joey Suki is an up and coming electro house DJ from Amsterdam. He has done songs with Hardwell and Firebeatz to name a few. If you have time I seriously recommend listening to all the music he has on his profile - it's really good quality.

Air DJ has become one of my favorite club bangers this last month. The bass is turned all the way up on this production. It has a nice progressive tune to the melody but the drop is all electro beats.

You know how you can play the air guitar... I guess you can air DJ now?

{Progressive} Nervo "HOLD ON"

The Australian sisters are back and once again they have come out with a wonderful song here. Very progressive tune with wonderful lyrics that have become a staple of their productions.

Hold On will be available for purchase on April 9th with a Remix EP slated for May 7th.

{Collab} Yoko Ono "HOLD ME" Dirtyloud Remix

Yes you are reading this correctly; Dirtyloud has just completed a remix of a Yoko Ono song. This song instantly took me back to the house songs I grew up with in Europe but once the drop hit I was immediately transported back to the present. The melody has a very 90's house feel to it (maybe because Dave Aude helped Yoko with the original).

The remix is available on iTunes through Mind Train Records.

There is a lot of bass in this song; thank you Dirtyloud. Hold me, anyone?

{Complextro} Black Tiger Sex Machine "COVEN"

Well, this is about as good as complextro gets. Heavy electro chords lead up to a man saying "drop" - which I just love. Then the bass hits with intertwined orchestral and lyrical samples to create a heavy hitting club banger. This song makes me envision what electricity would sound like running through telephone poles at a million miles an hour.

{New} James Egbert & Schoolboy "SILVER LINING"

Schoolboy teams up with my good friend James Egbert to create a unique EP that clearly showcases both talents. All 3 songs on the EP are very different and also very good. "All Systems Are Go" being their Electro banger; "Hero Down" is a more melodic Dubstep song that carries some bite; and finally "Stardust" is an anthem with vocals by Taylr Renee.

This EP will be released on Monday April 1st on Infrared Records.

Welcome to the first edition of Trap Thursday. I must be honest I did not like Trap when it first came about but it is growing on me. Trap is the vital link that is moving listeners of Hip-Hop to the now more popular genre of EDM.

My top 5 Trap songs of this month feature stars such as Bro Safari & A-Trax but also some future stars like :DFACE.

{Bass} Vato Gonzalez & DJ Punish "FAVELA RIDDIM"

WOW! I just heard this song for the first time two minutes ago.... that drop is just insane (so much bass!) Vato Gonzalez and DJ Punish take you to the slums of Rio de Janeiro to portray the violent nature as well as the great music culture that lives in the streets. Zuzuka Poderosa lends her vocal talents to this mighty riddim.

This was released by Dirty House on Monday; buy yourself a copy!

{Lasers} Moby & The Loops Of Fury "PARA"

Most producers in our generation attribute Daft Punk as to the reason why they made the switch to EDM music. However, for me, it was all about Moby. I was first introduced to Moby about 12 years ago by my Grandfather of all people - but Moby had that kind of influence on all age groups.

Moby does the melody; Loops of Fury with the drop.

Released March 18th on Lotus Recordings. If you like The Loops of Fury you will love this song; and not the other way around. I'm making no sense - it's 11 AM, it's still too early.

{Future #1} Morgan Page & Beltek "CAPTCHA"

Morgan Page is one of the most sought out DJ's in the world. Beltek is one of my favorite producers in the Progressive House & Trance genres. So naturally this song is brilliant and the drop is much heavier than I originally anticipated. The melody is a very jivy progressive tune that launches itself in to a deep bass-filled drop that is sprinkled with electro chords.

This song was just released on Monday by Sneakerz MUZIK; grab yourself a copy and tell all your friends you were ahead of the charts!

{Anthem} Capital Cities "SAFE & SOUND" Tommie Sunshine & Live City Remix

The original song from Capital Cities is a beautiful indie rock song that captured many people through the heartfelt lyrics. There is something quite peaceful knowing that a loved one is safe and sound. Tommie Sunshine (who has been on a bit of a stormer lately) and Live City have teamed up to create a beautiful progressive house tune using the most poignant lyrics and dropping the song with bass-filled lasers.

{Chickens & Ducks} A.G.Trio "DUCKSTEP"

This song just goes to show that you can put any word and add 'step' to the end of it and: Boom; you have a new genre. HOWEVERstep, the trio from Austria do disclaim that this was done as a JOKEstep stating it "was originally a humorous party-skit for the huge live-shows". Either way this song does bring the bass and it should help to blow those speakers.
